Spin18 is a European based company established by Jussi Meresmaa in 2000. Meresmaa was a professional disc golfer and a world champion in disc sports. Spin18 is the first global disc golf company having offices both in Europe and the US.

Our History

  • 2000

    An avid disc golfer, Jussi Meresmaa, starts a small disc golf business selling discs locally in Tampere, Finland

  • 2005

    Disc Golf European Championships are held in Tampere and Nokia, Finland. The first national TV appearance for competitive disc golf happens in Finland.

    Jussi partners Hans Tegebäck in Sweden to establish Discmania Ab, a Swedish disc golf retailer located in Gothenburg, Sweden

  • 2006

    DiscGolfPark® concept is born.

    The first ever PDGA major, Disc Golf European Open, takes place in Tampere Finland

  • 2008

    Another partnership emerges when Jussi combines forces with Greg Marter in Berlin, Germany to establish a local retailer.

    Discmania® as a disc golf brand is born. The very first disc, MD1 is introduced.

  • 2009

    Finnish company changes its name to Innova Champion Europe. Disc golf is starting to grow faster in Finland.

  • 2011

    Disc Golf European Open is broadcasted live on Finnish National TV to hundreds of thousands of viewers

  • 2012

    Company´s Swedish sales office is opened in Stockholm.

  • 2015

    Discmania Inc is established to California, USA

  • 2016

    Disc Golf World Tour begins and consists of events in USA, Europe and Australia.

    Disc Golf European Championships are held in Oulu, Finland

  • 2018

    Discmania recognized as the fastest growing disc golf brand in the world.

  • 2019

    Innova Champion Europe becomes Spin18.

  • 2021

    Discmania opens its own disc golf disc factory in Skellefteå, Sweden.

  • 2023

    Discmania joins House of Discs.
